Be not afraid!
There are so many issues currently affecting us as Christians in today’s society - the economic crisis has affected everyone one way or another, deseases are still a growing concern for many, crime sprees seem to be echoed on the news daily, war is plaguing various countries, and the list goes on. As humans we tend to get caught up in the circumstances of the day and forget we have another hope. It is easy to become worrisome and concerned about the issues of life and wonder how we are going to survive. It is at this time that the devil plays on our vulnerability and tries to get us to question God, our faith and belief. But the devil is a liar and we must remember that our hope does not lie in this world or in our ability, talent or knowledge (for if we have hope only in this world we would be men most miserable) but our hope is in God.The God that can do all things, the God that has kept us till now and will continue to keep us. With that reassurance we can be calm although the storms of life rage around us.
Therefore I will not be afraid of the uncertainty of the times, and I refuse to be troubled. The bible tells us that these things will come to pass, and fortunately for the church there is nothing we can do to prevent it. This, however is a great season for the church. We are about to be ushered into our rightful position in the earth, head and not tail.We are about to break through areas and into nations that we never had the privilege. God told Cyrus “I will give thee the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that thou may know that I the Lord which call thee by name am the God of Israel”
The church must rise even in these dark moments and shine even brighter. This is a great time for God to show His power.
I will not be afraid and I refuse to be troubled, for this season, this is the time we have been waiting for. A time when God can show His power!
