DR RICHARD CONSTANTINE GAYLE, Senior Pastor and Bishop of Miracle Centre Ministries (Scarborough), Miracle Centre Ministries (Bowmanville), Miracle Centre Ministries (Cobourg), Hope & Praise International Ministries and Presiding Prelate Bishop and founder of the House of Prayer International Ministries was born on August 21, 1962 to Denroy Gayle and Evet Maxwell in the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies.
Unable to resist the call of God on his life Bishop Richard Gayle received the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and was filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost soon after. As he grew and matured in the gospel, under the guidance and leadership of his spiritual parents, Bishop and Evangelist S. A. Miller, God placed a higher call on his life. Bishop Gayle’s perseverance and zeal for the work of the Lord led to a revival in the church in St. Ann, Jamaica where the church flourished and souls were saved for the kingdom of God. He was soon ordained as an Evangelist, then eventually an Elder.
In 1992 Bishop Gayle migrated to Canada and was soon asked to pastor the church, then named the Church of the First Born Inc. (Scarborough) by the late Bishop W. Bond. Through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and a sincere love for the people of God, Bishop Gayle worked in his calling. Showing care and love and following the leading of the Holy Ghost the ministry grew and experienced a great move of God!
In June 2016 Pastor Gayle was consecrated to the sacred office of a Bishop in the Lord’s Church and later assigned to be a member of the board of Bishops.
Bishop Gayle has a tremendous passion for the Word of God. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Leadership, Masters in Biblical studies and his PhD in Christian organizational leadership.
Bishop Gayle's ministry has led him to preach throughout Canada, United States, England, Jamaica and Australia.
Bishop Gayle has been used by God to speak prophetically into many lives and as a result, many have been set free from sicknesses, relationships have been restored, poverty has been broken, and lives have been transformed.
His desire to help God’s people reach their full potential in God by overcoming the limitations of their minds and capturing the mind of God has lead him to author the riveting books “Think like God” and “Activate the Power Now.” He is strongly committed to building the body of Christ and dedicated to preserving the Kingdom of God in this corrupt world.
His contagious and enthusiastic spirit flows through every facet of his ministry. Under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and concern for the next generation various programs were birthed through the leadership of Bishop Gayle to meet the needs of the church and the community at large. Programs such as our annual Back to School Celebration BBQ, Better Grades Homework Club, the Walter Bond Scholarship fund and Single Parents Ministry which included “Voice”, a program in which parents received help addressing school officials concerning their children, and “Me-Time”, a time where single parents were given much needed time for themselves.
Taking the great commission to heart and having a burden for the city of Scarborough Bishop Gayle implemented various outreach programs that moved the church out from within the four walls of the building and into the community. Services and various activities were held at different venues such as Flemingdon Park Community Center, Mornelle Court, and Galloway and Kingston Road.
Feeling the need to do more and to spread this great message of love and reconciliation, Bishop Gayle was propelled in 2015 to launch the Television ministry “The Moment” in St. Vincent, Jamaica and in Canada.
Bishop Gayle's ministry has led him to preach and teach throughout Canada, United States, England, Jamaica, Australia and St Vincent and the Grenadines. He continually desires to please God and to spread the Word to the lost.
Bishop Gayle is a man of prayer, integrity, and good character. He has not only been called by God to be a Bishop, but is called to be a Spiritual Father in the Gospel. Bishop Gayle is a powerful example that with faith and prayer, God does "Change Lives for the Good"!
